Glen was born in Waco, in 1965, and moved to Mesquite with his family in 1967. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1983, where he played football, ran track, and was involved in the art department. Glen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from East Texas State University in 1997, and his Masters of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2001.
In June of 1990, Glen married Becky George, a native of Mesquite, and a lifelong member of the Mesquite Church of Christ. They have three children, twins, Hunter Glynn and Jensen Park (5/12/04 – 04/03/14), and Ryan Pierce. Glen and Becky’s parents both attended the Mesquite Church of Christ for most of their adult life, and all served in numerous ways, both dads serving as deacons for many years. Becky’s dad continues to be very active in the Yellow House, and other church activities.
Glen was an elementary art teacher for 17 years in Mesquite ISD, and currently works for Mesquite ISD as an electrician. Becky is an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Sunnyvale ISD.
Glen has served the Mesquite Church of Christ as a Bible class teacher, a deacon over Children’s Ministry beginning 2007, and was ordained as an elder in the summer of 2024.
Glen’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, which is also what our family lives by.
Glen and Becky are very honored to be able to continue to serve and give back to the congregation that has given so much to them.
